Elementum - Data Management

Elementum was building a SaaS platform with the promise to digitize the supply chain to give End to End visibility across all points of the supply chain (transport, production, inventory). My role as a product designer was to design a tool to Onboard suppliers’ data into the platform to improve overall data quality.

TASK

  • Simplify supplier onboarding
  • Revamp current data admin to a standalone self-service product.

  • Self paced onboarding flow with contextual help.
  • New dashboard with data quality control. (Conflicting with CPO’s hypothesis/direction)

Collaborative Discovery

  • Design Sprint (Journey Mapping/persona/Empathy Maps/Rapid Prototyping)
  • User interviews / Testing

AFTER: New homepage

RESULT

 

  • Enhanced onboarding platform with intuitive self-service pace
  • Improved in-context educational content
  • Introduced data quality Dashboard to increase data accuracy
  • Impact:
    • Adoption was a success.
    • Customer support team was able to focus on main platform.
    • Our main customer improved their communication with its suppliers.
